★★★★★ At the start of 2024, I enrolled both my two daughters in the LeMans Drivers Academy (LDA) at LeMans Entertainment in Dandenong, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the experience! The program is exceptionally well-organised and run by a team of passionate and experienced coaches.The 9-week course covers a comprehensive curriculum, including but not limited to safety standards, racing lines, braking techniques, and even wet weather driving. What impressed me most was the perfect balance of theory and practical application. Each session starts with theory, followed by time on the track to put those skills into practice.The instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. They create a fun and inclusive environment that keeps the young drivers engaged and excited to return each week. It’s not just about racing; the program also emphasises teamwork, sportsmanship, and building confidence behind the wheel. Safety is clearly a top priority at LeMans as the go-karts are of high-quality for rentals, and the track is equipped with a light system and track marshals to keep the kids safe. This gave me peace of mind as a parent.Both my girls driving skills have improved significantly, but more importantly, they’ve had fun. After each term they also get certificates which I think is a lovely touch.Whether your child is a rising racing enthusiast or just looking to develop driving skills for the future, the LDA at LeMans Entertainment is an excellent investment. It’s a fantastic after-school activity that combines learning with excitement. Learning how to race rental karts and how to do better in karting and trying it on track is so much fun and is always the highlight of my week after school. Some weeks we do special activities on track which gives a little spice compared to the normal sessions. If you love rental karting and want to get better but people who just go for a day out and aren’t fast in public sessions, LDA is for you. Most of the people in LDA hold the top times on the Penrite track and hold the fastest times, I am a pretty good example as I am around the 25th fastest out of everyone who has registered on Racefacer on that track with fast times. I love LDA too as it is also welcoming to new drivers that aren’t as fast as us yet, and help them progress and get better and become faster. LDA just has an overall good environment and a highly reasonable price for what will be 9 weeks in 2025, it is a must do if you want to learn how to get better at rental karting!
